The cost of living in Delta County continues to be below the U.S. average and the median home cost in Delta County is $182,625 up from $160,000 a year ago which represents over a 9% increase in median prices. As of the end of 2016, Delta County experience a 11.7% increase in residential home sales over the previous year and a decrease in the number of homes for sale with only a 5.5 month supply of inventory as reported by Colorado Real Estate Network (CREN). Surface Creek which includes Cedaredge, Eckert, Orchard City, Austin and Cory had experienced over a 22% increase in sales and a14.8% increase in sales prices. With the supply of residential homes on the decline and virtually little to no vacancy in apartment complexes, many opportunities have been created in Delta County.

This is viewed as a great indication of what is yet to come to Delta County – a mini boom.
