Delta County School District covers about 1157 square miles and 4958 students with a diverse and high quality curriculum. In addition its excellent standard elementary, middle and high school options, DCSD offers 6 specialty schools, a vocational technical school and multiple early education programs.

The DCSD mission is to provide a safe and caring environment for all students and staff, meaningful opportunities and innovative educational programs that challenge all students so that they continue learning, including the attainment of content standards, through partnerships between home, school, and the community.

Delta County Libraries

The library system consists of five libraries located in Delta, Hotchkiss, Cedaredge, Paonia, and Crawford, maintaining a varied collection which includes hardback, paperback, and large print books, audio and visual materials, downloadable materials, magazines, newspapers, computer databases, and local history materials.

Each library provides public access computers and I-Pads as well as printers, copiers and other peripheral equipment. Each library also provides a lively schedule of programming for preschool and grade school children, teenagers, adults, and families.  ESL and GED classes are also provided throughout the county.
